Yesterday the future of the Internet started. Most people probably didn’t notice any change. However from now on more and more websites will be available on the new Internet Protocol IPv6. So far no bigger ISP in Thailand is supporting the new standard for consumers. However this will change over the next few years. FRITZ! Equipment is already supporting the new standard for a few years now. Once the service is available in Thailand your FRITZ!Box will automatically connect to the “New Internet”
Here is also an interesting article that was punished in the Bangkok Post yesterday.
VoIP Thailand is constantly expanding the FRITZ!Product line and some new products will be available in the on the Thai market soon.
The new FRITZ!Repeater 300E that which allows you to connect to connect with a LAN network cable and plug it to your Desktop PC or other Device without build-in Wi-Fi.
Take a look at the new FRITZ!Box 3270. This Box will be very interesting on the Thai market as it comes at an entry level price and allows you to connect your Smartphone via Wi-Fi to make cheap high-quality calls via Internet and land line.
Last but not least:
The new FRITZ!Fon M2. If you love Apple you will love the M2. It comes in a white casing and allows you to make VoIP calls in HD in combination with FRITZ!Box 7270 & 7390.

In order to connect the FRITZ!Box to another WLAN device, the user has to temporarily activate WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup) – this can be done using either the WPS button or the FRITZ!Box user interface. A secure connection can then be established within two minutes.
WPS disabled automatically after connecting
Once the connection has been successfully established or the two minutes have elapsed, the WPS function on the FRITZ!Box is once again automatically deactivated. If multiple devices simultaneously attempt to establish a WPS connection, WPS is immediately deactivated, preventing any external access to the FRITZ!Box.
WPS makes it simple to establish a secure WLAN connection
WPS, the standard developed by the Wi-Fi Alliance, serves to simplify the setup of an encrypted wireless home network. This method makes it much easier to add new devices to an existing WLAN, relieving the user of the often burdensome task of entering a complex encryption code.
Until pretty recently Internet Telephony didn’t leave small businesses with up to 20 people with much choice. On one end you could find ASTERISK whereas on the other end you were left with Skype.
Now there is a serious third option for small business use which it much easier to set up than Asterisk but offers you much more functions and flexibility than Skype. As with Asterisk you can choose your VoIP Service provider, incoming phone numbers and digital lines from hundreds of the new Internet Telco’s from anywhere worldwide. On the other hand you have an intuitive user Interface that makes the setup very easy and lets you set up a whole wireless office network right out of FRITZ!Box within 2-3 hours.
Functions like Voicemail, FAX2email, VPN, integrated Print server just to name a few features really make FRTIZ!Box become the centerpiece of your office. The integrated superfast Wi-Fi N, Gigabit LAN Router and ADSL/ VDSL Modem unit make your modem obsolete and enhance your network speed while clearing the cable spaghetti from your office. With more than 10 Million units sold at a fraction of the cost of an Asterisk system the red little box also became known as the “Swiss Army Knife” of communications and network Infrastructure.
Depending on the VoIP codec deployed in a conversation the bandwidth varies. Nowadays (2011) modern systems normally use either G.711 (IDSN quality) or the newer G.722 (HD Telephony) codec. Both codecs use 64 Kibitz for incoming and outgoing conversations. Anyone how is interested in learning more about bandwidth consumption should take a look at the free bandwidth calculator here.
VoIP Thailand offers 2 new products to make receiving calls easier.

The Gigaset L410 hands free clip is a genuine innovation in the phone market. This 30-gram DECT device gives users complete freedom of movement and enables calls in outstanding voice quality.
