The 'Peter zahlt' Solution

To use the 'Peter zahlt' service you have to apply a small trick. As you need a German landline telephone number you need to apply for a free telephone number with a German VoIP Provider. One Service which works pretty well is Sipgate. After signing up for a free VoIP Account and registering the number in Fritz Box you are technically in Germany. Now you can choose out of 40 destinations to make free calls to any landline. Press the ‘gratis telefonieren’ Button and your phone will ring. Now you can talk up to 30 minutes.  Afterwards you can make the next call. The call quality is very clear.

The 'Localphone' Way

The classic way to make free calls is to join with someone in the same network. One of the best solutions to make absolutely free calls is to use Localphone. You can sign up for a free account and get a telephone number in their network. After registering your account within your FRITZ!Box ( find the setting in 'my Account - Internet phone and expand  'Call from your own SIP Device') you can you can register a free iNUM Number at incomming Numbers. iNUM Numbers start at 883. Once you receive your new iNUM Number you can forward it to your Localphone ID and let your iNUM Number show up as Caller ID so your friends will know whou called them.Within the iNUM Network calls are absolutly free. Usually you would use this solution with friends and family you often call as there is no time limit to the calls. The call quality here is very clear.
